I can't promise regular updates, but as I procrastinate and avoid doing my Java Programming homework I'm suddenly fired with inspiration and a desire to go through some of my recent vacation photos.
My girlfriend and I took a trip down to South Florida. We spent a lot of time in Davie, where our resort was located, but we explored as far as Key West, Ft. Lauderdale, and Naples as well. For the moment I've uploaded some of the birds, dragonflies, and snakes that we spotted on our adventures. I think I start every journal entry with a sentence about how I haven't written a journal entry in a while. But ha! This one is different. Instead I'm talking about talking about not writing. How meta.
I've posted before about the CARE Foundation, the exotic animal sanctuary where my girlfriend and I volunteer. We get to play with tigers, black bears, alligators, monkeys, several adorable blonde raccoons, and a host of other animals. Also we get to clean a LOT of poo, but that's not so much fun. Well, CARE has finally joined the digital age and set up its first-ever online fundraising campaign.

I haven't written a journal here for quite some time. I'm afraid Facebook gets more attention since my dSLR decided to become more of a paperweight than a camera. One of the ways I've been filling the void in my heart left by my fickle camera is spending more time at the CARE Foundation with my girlfriend, Elizabeth.
CARE is a non-profit animal sanctuary in Apopka, FL. They specialize in exotic animals and mostly handle ex-pets that have been given up or confiscated. Tigers, bears, alligators, a crocodile, a kinkajou... The list goes on.
